Halloween Events at the Old Forge Library
Halloween Party
The library hasn't had a Halloween Party since the pandemic! Plan to boogie down on Friday, October 25 from 2:30 -4:30 pm. Stop by for lots of family fun: 80’s music and iron-on patches and paint to transform a canvas bag into a personalized Trick-or-Treat bag (materials provided) and of course, there will be spooky snacks!
Costumes are welcome and encouraged. The party is free and open to all.
Trick-or-treating
The library and friends and family will be outside on the library lawn with some added Halloween fun for trick-or-treaters and families during the village-wide Trick or Treat on Thursday, October 31. All are welcome to warm up by the campfire, and kids get a goodie bag full of corny prizes and Fun Dip. The public bathroom is an added bonus, especially for the little ones! If you don't get many trick-or-treaters at your house, come join the fun! The library invites other businesses, organizations, and individuals to share our lawn to pass out treats to the kids.
The library also has 3 October-themed craft nights!
Wednesday Night Craft Get-togethers featuring Halloween themed crafts:
- October 16 Painted gourds
- October 23 Felt ball pumpkins
- October 30 Day of the Dead pumpkin candle holders
